7 Days of Pure Adventure

Arrival in Nouakchott, airport pickup, check-in at the hotel and trip briefing.

Explore the vibrant camel market, then drive to the breathtaking Azoueiga dunes. Sunset, camping in the dunes, and sunrise experience.

Visit the magical Terjit Oasis — a hidden freshwater spring in the desert. Then continue to Chinguetti to explore the ancient old town and one of the world's most famous libraries.

Drive through dramatic canyon landscapes and stop at scenic viewpoints unlike anything you have seen. Overnight in a desert camp near the iconic Ben Amira monolith.

Travel through the open desert to Choum. Final preparations for the legendary Iron Ore Train experience. First train attempt in the evening.

Arrive in Nouadhibou after the train journey. Check in at the hotel and relax by the Atlantic coast — a stark contrast to the desert you just crossed.

Drive back to Nouakchott, approximately 5–6 hours through the coastal desert road. Night departure.
The Iron Ore Train operates on a mining schedule outside our control. If the train does not run on Day 4, we adapt:
Day 5 Alternative

Why Choose Us
Our guides are local Mauritanians with deep personal knowledge of every route, landscape, and cultural site we visit.
We cap every expedition at 8 travelers — intimate experiences, personal attention, and access that large groups never get.
No tourist traps. Every place we visit is the real Mauritania — raw, timeless, and largely untouched by mass tourism.
Comprehensive safety protocols, emergency contacts, local network, and guide support throughout the entire trip.
Every detail handled — hotels, transport, train boarding, camping, meals, and permits. You just show up and explore.
Very few operators can organize the Iron Ore Train experience. We have done it many times and know every step of the process.
Who We Are
